Situated in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, Bandhavgarh National Park is a 173 square mile renowned wildlife reserve and supports one of the highest densities of tigers in India. Its hilly open terrain involves many large grassland meadows, which offer great opportunities of tiger sightings. Bandhavgarh is also home to a large variety of leopard, spotted deer, wild boar, chinkara, sloth bear, rhesus monkeys, macaque, grey langur, jungle cat, jackal, fox and wild dog. Twice daily game drives are conducted in the comfort of specially designed, open 4x4 safari vehicles and accompanied by an expert CCAfrica-trained naturalist.

Mahua Kothi's twelve guest cottages have private courtyards with shaded seating and traditional mud floors. The interiors include wooden shutters, mud-colored walls in lime and earth washes, open rafters with roughly hewn wooden beams and handmade pottery roof tiles. Each en suite bathroom features twin basins, an indoor walk-in shower and a bath. Richly colored local textiles are in shades of rust and burnt orange, and all cottages have overhead fans and are air conditioned and heated.
