Labriz is situated on Silhouette Island in the Seychelles, a 45-minute boat or 15-minute helicopter transfer away from the capital Mahé and the International Airport.
About Silhouette
A marine national park, Silhouette is home to a huge diversity of indigenous fauna and flora. The highest summit is Mount Dauban (2428 feet), which is surrounded by a virgin rain forest full of botanical treasures such as the rare pitcher plant, orchids, rare hardwoods and incense tree. For many years Silhouette was the home of the notorious pirate Jean-Francois Hodoul. According to local folklore, he buried treasure in the mountains of the island.
Activities
You'll have the opportunity to dive, snorkel, fish, visit the Giant Tortoise Sanctuary, play tennis, and explore the island with the resident marine biologist and naturalist. Dine on traditional Seychelles cuisine at the resort, or at Grande Case, a restored 1860 Seychellois plantation house. Day trips can be arranged to other islands.
The Spa
Relax and enjoy the Aquum Spa in one of the mountainside treatment suites set amid massive, ancient granite boulders. There is also a yoga pavilion perched atop a giant rock, welcoming the morning sun.
Diving and More
The underwater world of Silhouette Island is another world to be discovered, as diverse as it is unique. The launch pad for undersea exploration begins at the Eco Center a 5-star PADI diving center. Besides PADI diving and snorkeling courses, the Eco Center offers non-motorized water sports and diving equipment for rent. Private charter and instructors are available for a half or full day Seychelles diving trip, or a full day snorkeling or diving tour to Mahé.
