Itinerary

Days 1-2

Santiago, Valparaiso and Vina del Mar
Arrive Santiago and tour the city and environs, from its historic districts to its elegant shops, first class restaurants and futuristic high-rise buildings. You will also voyage to Valparaiso, a UNESCO World Heritage city and explore the lively coastal town of Vina del Mar, also known as the “Garden City.” Ritz Carlton

Days 3-6

San Pedro de Atacama
Fly to Calama, then transfer to the desert oasis of San Pedro de Atacama. This varied landscape contains volcanoes, lunar landscapes, thundering geysers and a hot springs hidden in a small canyon of unparalleled natural beauty. Explora’s Hotel de Larache, your base for exploring this fascinating region, blends perfectly with its surroundings. Days 7-8

Puerto Montt and the Lake District
Fly to Puerto Montt, and transfer to Yan Kee Way Lodge, a beautifully appointed chalet-style lodge overlooking spectacular Lake Llanquihue. The second largest lake in Chile, Llanquihue is set against the backdrop of Osorno, a nearly perfect cone-shaped volcano. Days 9-12

Torres del Paine National Park
Fly to Punta Arenas and spend the next few days exploring Torres del Paine Nat’l Park. This magnificent landscape features accessible glaciers, impressive granite peaks, lakes and rivers. Your outdoor adventures will afford you a chance to see a wide variety of Andean species like rheas (choiques), guanacos and birds such as woodpeckers, peregrine falcons, and condors. Santiago
