Early Morning Climb up Rio's Sugar Loaf

The trek is for fit travelers who want to experience one of the most beautiful climbs in their lives overlooking Rio´s Guanabara Bay. Most of the way up is a moderately steep walk with only a small stretch requiring rope security. Samba School Rehearsal in Rio
From August to February the samba school of Rio meet up every week to rehearse their music. Rehearsals typically happen inside one of Rio’s favelas late on Friday or Saturday night. No other city in the world has anywhere near the beach culture of Rio de Janeiro. In this full day program, you will experience the Carioca style day on the beach. Begin soaking up the sun in Posto Nove area of Ipanema. Around lunch time, move on to one of Rio’s traditional after-beach bars such as Bracarense and from there, lunch in one of Rio´s informal after-beach restaurants. Finish the day in hip and isolated Joatinga beach for a toast to the sunset before returning to your hotel at the end of the day.

Rio's Secret Beaches
The vast majority of international travelers to Rio never go beyond Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. Few people know that there are beaches in Rio that are in the middle of natural preservation areas with virgin beaches and mountains. Your day starts off with a scenic drive towards the south along the coast passing through Ipanema, São Conrado, Barra da Tijuca and Recreio beaches. From then on, you enter the nature reserves outside Rio. Our first stop is the surfing beach of Prainha and then on to Grumari beach. From there, an optional private visit to the Burle Marx Estatethe farm belonging to Brazil´s premier landscape artist responsible for the most beautiful tropical gardens of Brazil. When hunger beckons, continue south to Barra de Guaratiba and have an unforgettable seafood lunch in Biraarguably the restaurant with the most beautiful view in the region, before returning to Rio at sunset.
