Sales Director

Department: Agency Sales
Accountable To: Vice President Agency Sales
Employment Status: Full-Time
Location: Various regions excluding west coast

Position Summary
The successful candidate will be a dynamic and results orientated individual who is intelligent, creative, forward thinking, and above all, able to demonstrate excellent sales skills and an entrepreneurial spirit.

At least five to seven years industry-related sales experience with a sound knowledge of luxury product and service is essential.

The successful candidate must embody a strong work ethic, excellent diplomatic skills, and should be able to take a strategic and macro outlook on every aspect of the job. He or she must not be afraid of making difficult decisions, often within a tight timeframe in a fast-moving environment. Candidates must possess the ability to 'think big' as well as creatively, and should have a sound grasp of both the industry and the relevant competition. They must be capable of making compelling high-level presentations and must possess strong skills in both written and oral communications.

Ultimately, the successful candidate will be both confident and competent. They will require the stature and poise to play a leadership role within the agency sales division of a leading global luxury brand company. Enthusiasm for the company's products must be clearly demonstrable, whilst their high ethical standards, honesty and resourcefulness will rapidly earn the respect of the team. A prerequisite will be the individual's ability to deliver on aggressive sales plans.

The Sales Director must be very "hands-on" and capable of both strategic and tactical implementation with minimal support staff. He | she will be responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategies designed to drive profitable revenue in their territory.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Develop territory action plan to meet or exceed revenue targets through agency and partner sales
  • Produce reporting metrics to measure, analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs and results
  • Establish and implement short-range and long-range territory goals, objectives, policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and implement sales strategy, selling cycle and methodology to provide best return on investment
  • Create and maintain competitive analysis and develop SWOT sales techniques
  • Use and maintain the integrity of the company's CRM system
  • Analyze sales statistics to determine sales growth potential
  • In conjunction with Vice President, seek out and target new customers and new markets
  • Coordinate with the marketing department with planning and development of territory sales materials
  • Represent the company at various community, events and | or business meetings to promote the company as required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as require
  • Be the brand ambassador and instill confidence and loyalty in the Cox & Kings brand.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years' sales experience
  • Five (5) years of experience selling luxury products or services
  • Proven ability to target high net worth markets
  • Ability to hit the ground running | Self-starter
  • Understands global retail leisure outbound distribution strategies (American market traveling outbound through travel agencies)
  • Extensive international destination knowledge, including Cox & Kings destinations preferred.
  • Existing sales relationships and a demonstrated track record of sales success required within a sales territory with a leading travel/hotel company.

Special Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Up to 75% business travel expected, including international destinations at times throughout the year.

Associate, Guest Services

Department: Guest Services
Employment Status: Full-Time (based at Los Angeles office)

Position Summary

Cox & Kings, The Americas is looking for a self-motivated, detail oriented, and reliable individual interested in joining a passionate and dedicated team, and working in the exciting and ever-changing travel Industry.

The office is a busy and quick paced environment, and we need someone who is a team player with the ability to take initiative, keep organized, and who approaches all responsibilities and tasks with enthusiasm and care.


  • Efficient and professional handling and distribution of all incoming requests via phone, website or email, to ensure quality customer service
  • Manage C&K Hospitality Desk for all office visitors
  • Maintain stock for all general office and kitchen supplies, and keep supplies/supply room organized
  • Produce accurate and timely travel documentation in collaboration with Inside and Outside Sales teams
  • Mailing travel documents using FedEx service
  • General guest services assistance: storing incoming forms and documents, supplying internal team and external partners with any requested information, keeping all systems and documentation up to date
  • General office maintenance
  • Open to working on other tasks if asked for by department supervisor, management, or inside/outside sales

  • Must possess excellent phone etiquette
  • Must have analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking and decision-making capabilities
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Must have excellent PC computer skills

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 5 years' experience in similar position (as receptionist and office manager)
  • Experience working at a travel agency and/or professional services firm, such as a law or investment firm, is preferred but not required
  • Travel industry experience and sound knowledge of geography considered a plus
