    Immerse yourself in the grandeur of the past as you drive past Old Delhi's Red Fort, an opulent bastion of the Mughal Empire. Also visit Shah Jahan's incredible Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in the world. Enjoy a rickshaw ride through the bustling lanes of Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat - a simple but moving memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. The afternoon is at leisure for any independent explorations or enjoy the amenities of your hotel.

  • Day 4

    This morning, get ready to explore imperial Delhi. Drive past the imposing India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan (the President's residence) and see the ancient stepwell, Agrasen ki Baoli. End the tour with a visit to UNESCO World Heritage Site of Qutub Minar, a masterpiece of perfect proportions, and tomb of Emperor Humayun. The tomb was the first garden tomb on the Indian subcontinent, a wonderful example of early Mughal architecture.

    Delhi to Agra

    After breakfast, you will be driven to the Mughal capital of Agra (205 km / approx. 4 hours). On arrival, check into Courtyard by Marriott, a 5-star and top ranked hotel in Agra. Later in the afternoon, proceed to the lush green Mehtab Bagh. This extensive garden complex is square in shape and is impeccably aligned with the Taj Mahal on the opposite bank, offering breathtaking views of the iconic monument.

  • Day 6

    Early this morning, visit the world renowned Taj Mahal at sunrise. Referred to as one of the wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal, a symphony in white marble, a tribute to eternal love. Built by the Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. There are tombs of Mumtaz and Shah Jahan within the mausoleum. Done in white marble, it took 22 years and over 20,000 workers and craftsmen to complete this rhapsody in stone (1630-52 AD). The main structure is set amidst landscaped gardens. While on three sides it is surrounded by high walls, the rear is bound by the river Yamuna.

    Later, enjoy a guided tour of Itmad-ud-Daulah, the beautiful mausoleum built by Nur Jahan, the wife of Mughal Emperor Jehangir, in memory of her father, Mirza Ghiyas Beg. Sometimes called the 'Baby Taj', it is beautifully conceived in white marble, colored mosaic and lattice work. Continue to the Agra Fort, an outstanding example of Mughal architecture and the seat and the stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. Visit its Hall of Public Audience and Royal Pavilions.

    Agra to Ranthambore

    In the morning, proceed on a drive to Ranthambore, visiting Akbar's abandoned capital, Fatehpur Sikri along the way. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, it was built during the second half of the 16th century in honor of the Sufi saint, Sheikh Salim Chisti, who blessed the emperor with a son.

    Afterwards, continue your drive to Ranthambore, hailed as one of India's finest wildlife locations. Upon arrival, check into The Kipling Lodge, rated on TripAdvisor as the 1 hotel in Ranthambore.

  • Day 8

    Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of the elusive tiger, leopards and other wildlife in Ranthambore National Park. The national park was formerly a royal hunting ground and is known for its lush environment, clear lakes, meandering rivers, and various wildlife species. Kindly note that the game drives are in jeeps with an expert naturalist and may include other guests at the park.

    Ranthambore to Jaipur

    After breakfast, give back to nature by planting a tree in Ranthambore before embarking on your drive to Jaipur. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check into your hotel. In the evening, feel the vibrancy of Jaipur as you visit the local bazaars and markets. See the display of traditional textiles, ironware and trinkets before you arrive at the famous Hindu Temple for Aarti ceremony. Enjoy the magical rituals and receive blessings as the priest sings holy hymns amidst the sacred atmosphere.

  • Day 10

    This morning visit the fabulous Amber Fort, situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur city. Known for its artistic style, it blends both Hindu and Mughal elements, as seen in its large ramparts, monuments and series of imposing gates and cobbled pathways. En route to Amber Fort, drive past the spectacular Hawa Mahal, a five-storied wonder with a spectacular pyramidal facade and overhanging windows with latticed screens, domes and spires.

    Continue on your visit of the Pink City, an "abode of rajahs" including the City Palace, located inside the old city. It is a spectacular synthesis of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles, consisting of an overwhelming complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards. Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Jantar Mantar. Jantar Mantar (literally translates into "instrument of calculation") is the largest of five astronomical observatories built by Maharaja Jai Singh in the early 18th century. The observatory consists of some 20 major geometric devices for measuring time, predicting eclipses, tracking stars in their orbits, and determining the celestial altitudes.

    Jaipur to Delhi

    After breakfast, return to Delhi by private car. Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be escorted to the airport to board your flight home.
