Day 1San Diego - Valle de Guadalupe
Upon arrival in San Diego, you will be met by a Cox & Kings guide who will assist you across the border and escort you to your hotel in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico. The trip to Mexico's wine region is approximately two hours. Enroute, stop in the town of Puerto Nuevo to relax and enjoy a beachfront meal at a local restaurant. Upon arrival at your hotel, you will be assisted with check-in. You will have time to relax before enjoying a welcome dinner at your hotel.Encuentro Guadalupe or Similar - 3 Nights (L, D)
Day 2Valle de Guadalupe
This morning, after a leisurely breakfast, your private guide will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby to take you on a day tour of the area's finest wineries, including Adobe Guadeloupe, La Cetto, Casa de Dona Lupe (craft production), Pedro Domecq and Monte Xanic. In between winery visits, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Return to your hotel to relax before joining a local chef this evening for a gourmet sampling of some of the region's favorite dishes.Encuentro Guadalupe or Similar (B, L, D)
Day 3Valle de Guadalupe
Today, head on a short ride to the town of Ensenada for a foodie walking tour with a local expert. On this curated and guided foodie tour of Ensenada's culinary delights, you'll eat the best Baja-style fish tacos, street-style beef and pork tacos at the region's famous truck-stop-taco-stand. You will also enjoy fresh ceviche tostadas at the place Anthony Bourdain proclaimed "the best food cart in the world." Finish the day with a margarita at the iconic cantina where Mexico's most famous cocktail was conceived. Return back to your hotel. Day 4Valle de Guadalupe - San Diego
Early this morning, you will have the option to take a sunrise horseback ride in the surrounding mountains. Afterwards, visit Rancho La Campa, where Ramonetti cheese is produced. Take a tour of the ranch, relax with some of the areas fine wines, and enjoy the fresh cheese of the ranch. You will also be treated to a delicious meal prepared by the chefs of the ranch.
Following lunch, be escorted back to San Diego Airport for your departure flight.(B, L)
