    Arrive Casablanca - To Rabat

    Upon arrival in Casablanca, you will be welcomed by your Cox & Kings local representative. Depart for the capital city of Rabat and enjoy an afternoon city tour.

  • Day 2
    To Fez

    A cultural center for more than ten centuries, Meknes boasts a fascinating medina (old city) and maze of streets filled with colorful stalls and architectural delights such as the intricately carved Bab el-Mansour. Continue to Moulay Idriss, Morocco's holiest city, and then onto the Roman ruins at Volubilis to see the Triumphal Arch and exquisite mosaics. Late this afternoon, arrive in Fez.

  • Day 3
    Fez

    Fez el-Bali is the world's largest living medieval city. Tour the 14th-century Medersa Bou Inania (theological college), which is famous for its Koranic scriptures in stucco, zellij tiles and carved wood. Explore the 13th-century tanneries and henna and spice souqs (markets).

  • Day 4
    To the Desert

    Drive toward the Middle Altlas Mountains. Stop for a picnic at the nature reserve of Midelt before descending into the palm groves and fortified villages of the Ziz valley. Head into the desert, and watch the sunset over the dunes of Erg Chebbi. This evening, savor a candlelight dinner with entertainment by local Bedouin.

    To Skoura

    Depart for Rissani, a former trading caravan post. Visit My Ali Cherif Mausoleum and a surviving medieval ksar (castle). Continue through a succession of Berber villages and the impressive canyons of Todghra Gorges in the Atlas Mountains toward the oasis of Skoura.

    Skoura

    Step back in time and spend the day exploring the wonderful groves and mountains surrounding Skoura.

    To Marrakech

    On your way to Marrakech, visit the sumptuous kasbahs of Taourirt and Ouarzazate including the fortified village of Ait Benhaddou. After lunch, drive to the top of the Tizi-NTichka Pass before descending to Marrakech.

    Marrakech

    Today, tour the gorgeous Saadian Tombs, elegant El Badi Palace and the 12th-century Koutoubia mosque. Just before sunset, visit the Djemaa el-Fna, the enormous square and atmospheric wonderland of torch-lit food stalls, snake charmers, storytellers and acrobats.

    Discover the pleasures of learning about one of the great cuisines of the world at La Maison Arabe cooking workshop. This afternoon, walk through the medieval Menara Park and visit the glorious Majorelle Gardens.

    To Atlas Mountains

    Drive across the southern plains of Marrakech toward the green valley of Asni with views of the peak of Toubkal.
