    Delhi

    After breakfast this morning, meet your fellow travelers and begin your explorations of the rich diversity and antiquities of the city. Absorb the spirit of Delhi as you enjoy the contrast between the hidden treasures of Old Delhi and colonial edifices of New Delhi. On a walk through the bustling old alleys of Chandni Chowk, visit some of the most unique and ancient sites of the old city. In New Delhi, enjoy a panoramic tour, as you pass by India Gate and the Rashtrapati Bhawan, which houses the president's residence and government buildings. Complete your journey with visits to the beautiful Humayun's Tomb and Qutb Minar (Tower of Victory), a superb example of early Afghan architecture, built to establish the might of Islam and onset of Muslim rule in India.

    To Agra

    Today, depart for the Mughal citadel of Agra.
    Upon arrival, check into your hotel. After lunch, head to the exquisite white marble mausoleum of the Taj Mahal, which Emperor Shah Jahan built as a shrine to his everlasting love for his queen, Mumtaz Mahal.
    Continue to discover the palaces, mosques and halls of audience of magnificent Agra Fort, a walled city built out of red sandstone in the 16th century. Pass through the monumental Delhi Gate to explore the Golden Pavilions, extensive gardens and grand towers of the fort. In this once-impregnable fortress, discover the many hidden rooms and immerse yourself in the grand legacy of the Mughals in India.     To Jaipur

    Your journey continues on to Jaipur today, which presides over the fascinating desert state of Rajasthan. From the home of the queen's favorite handmaiden, to royal guesthouse and hunting lodge, and later as the residence of the Maharaja, the Rambagh Palace boasts elegant rooms, marbled corridors and majestic gardens echoing with history.     Jaipur

    Explore the rustic countryside of the Aravallis on elephant back, stopping for a royal picnic breakfast. Continue to the ancient capital of Amber to see the fabulous Amber Fort, situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur city. Enjoy a lavish lunch set within the historic walls of the fort. Indulge yourself as you visit the stores, which were beloved by members of the royal house and their guests. See some of the private treasures and jewelry of the royals, admire the royal costumes in the museum, and visit textile workshops famous for the block print textiles with royal designs.

    To Jodhpur

    Bid farewell to Jaipur and head west to Jodhpur, the epitome of all the romance and splendor of Rajasthan. The majestic Mehrangarh Fort towers over resplendent palaces, colorful bazaars and the sands of the Thar Desert. Arrive at RAAS, your accommodation for the next two nights, situated in the prestigious northeastern quarter of the walled city, in the very shade of Mehrangarh's Victory Palace and gate, and close to the clock tower.

    Jodhpur

    Begin your day with a visit to impressive Mehrangarh Fort, which was described by Rudyard Kipling as "the creation of angels, fairies and giants." The fort museum displays an extensive collection of paintings, thrones and weapons. Explore the old city on tuk-tuks as you pass by local artists, puppet makers and traditional spice markets. Savor rustic Rajasthani life on a village safari to Bishnoi, accompanied by members of the royal family. Spot black buck, chinkara and migratory birds that are often seen in the countryside. Meet a local family, visit their home, and enjoy a delicious and traditional High Tea before returning to Jodhpur.

    To Deogarh

    After breakfast this morning, bid farewell to the Blue City of Jodhpur, as you travel by road through the desert landscape to the charming village of Deogarh. Stop en route to visit the Ranakpur Temple, one of the largest and most important Jain temple complexes in India. Marvel at your home for the next two evenings, the Deogarh Mahal, a magnificent fort and a fitting stronghold for one of its sixteen "umraos", the most senior barons attending on the Maharana of Udaipur.

    Deogarh

    Explore the intricate mosaic of rural and royal Deogarh as you experience a drive in a vintage car accompanied by one of the members of the family (subject to availability), followed by a guided walk through the village.     To Udaipur

Later, enjoy a walk through an historic section of this royal palace, a symbol of style and elegance.

    Udaipur
