Botswana offers one of the most pristine wildlife viewing opportunities in the world. There is largely no cellular coverage, rarely an Internet connection, short of “bushmail” and nary a light in the sky but the stars. This exclusivity is what makes it such a high demand locale for safari goers and one of the most wild safari experiences in Africa. Botswana’s green season from November to April is no exception. Many of the wetter areas of the delta dry up during the summer months as flood waters recede, allowing for more game drives, and the desert arid areas become lush feeding grounds for plains game, creating a smorgasbord for predators following in tow. Arrive in Maun, Botswana today, where you will be met for your scheduled air transfer into the world-famous Okavango, Delta, the largest inland delta on Earth. Your private, luxury tented camp features raised wooden decks, en suite bathrooms and great game viewing both in camp and within the private reserve. Enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives, which may go on into the twilight hours, as well as walks and mokoro canoe activities (seasonal) while in the western Okavango Delta. (B, L, D)
Enjoy a short, scenic air transfer to your next camp today, further north in the Linyanti Reserve or Selinda Spillway of northern Botswana. Arrive in time for afternoon tea and your game drive, including sundown cocktails and a night drive to search for nocturnal species.
