Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive Cairo
Arrive in Cairo. You will be met and transferred to your hotel, located in Cairo, overlooking the Nile River. Note: VIP international airport arrival courtesies have been arranged. Four Seasons Nile Plaza - Nile View room

Note: Should you wish the services of a Private Egyptologist accompanying you throughout the journey and conducting all sightseeing, including shore excursions during your cruise, on a private basis, a supplement of $625 per person is applicable.
Day 2
Great Pyramids at Giza
This morning you visit one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world, the Great Pyramids at Giza. Here you will visit the Solar Boat Museum. The afternoon is spent visiting Memphis and Saqqara, its entire complex designed by Imhotep, who was perhaps the first recorded genius in history. Here you will see the Step Pyramid, the earliest of all pyramids. This evening attend the Sound & Light Show at the Pyramids. (B)
Day 3
Cairo To Luxor
This morning you will fly onto Luxor where you will stay at the recently renovated Hilton Luxor, with direct views of the Nile River and unobstructed views of the West Bank. This afternoon visit the Luxor Museum and attend the Sound & Light Show at Karnak temple this evening. Hilton Luxor Resort - Deluxe Nile view room (B)

Option: Hot air balloon flight over the West Bank is available for an additional: $200 per person. Note that this flight is a ‘shared experience’
Day 4
Board the Sonesta STAR Goddess
This morning you will board the Sonesta Star Goddess. Visit the Karnak temple and return to the Star Goddess for lunch. This afternoon visit the West Bank and its Valley of Kings and Queens and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Luxor Temple. Afternoon tea and dinner on board followed by a belly dance show. Overnight in Luxor Sonesta Star Goddess - Beethoven suite (B, L, D)

Note: Sightseeing during the Nile cruise is subject to change, based on navigational conditions and the captain, at time of sail. While on the Nile cruise your sightseeing and tours will be conducted by the ship's resident Egyptologists. Your sightseeing will be done in small groups organized by the ship's staff.
Day 5
Cruising the Nile
This morning complete your sightseeing in Luxor and then set sail for Esna, enjoying daily life along the banks of the Nile as you cruise. This evening Captain’s welcome cocktail party followed by dinner on board. [smart casual attire]. Overnight in Esna. (B, L, D)
Day 6
Cruising the Nile
Late morning disembark and visit the famed Temple of Horus in Edfu. Following you will continue your cruise onto Kom Ombo. Lunch on board and this afternoon visit the temple shared by the gods Sobek and Harocies in Kom Ombo. Continue sailing towards Aswan. Dinner is on board with a Galabya party this evening. (B, L, D)
Day 7
Cruising the Nile
This morning visit the High Dam, the granite quarries and the Temple of Philae. After lunch on board you will sail on the Nile by felucca around Kitchener's Island and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. This evening dinner is on board with a Nubian folklore cultural show. (B, L, D)
Day 8
Disembark in Aswan/Abu Simbel/Cairo
Disembark this morning following breakfast and transfer to the Airport for your flight onto Abu Simbel and a tour of the famous Temples of Ramses II. You will then fly back to Cairo and your Cairo hotel. Four Seasons at Nile Plaza - Nile View room (B)
Day 9
Cairo
This morning you will visit the renowned Egyptian Museum, which houses many spectacular treasures of Tutankhamun. You will also tour the Mummy Room of the museum. Afternoon is at leisure. (B)
Day 10
Cairo
This morning tour the highlights of Islamic and Coptic Cairo, and visit to Ben Ezra Synagogue. Lunch to follow at Naguib Mahfous Restaurant. Remainder of afternoon is at leisure to wander through the maze of alleyways in the Khan el-Khalili Souq. (B, L)
Day 11
Depart Egypt
Transfer to the Airport this morning for your flight onward. (B)
