Tbilisi
Full day tour of Tbilisi, including the 4th century Narikala Fortress, the State and Art Museums and the 5th century Metechi Church, considered to be the first church built in Tbilisi. Marriott Courtyard Hotel (B)

Day 3
Mtskheta
Morning visit to Mtskheta, the spiritual heart of Georgia. Visit the Jvari and the Samtavro Church and the Cathedral of Svetitskhoveli, built on the grave of Sidonia, who died clutching Christ’s robe. Continue north to the Georgian Military Highway for a visit to the Ananuri Fortress. Marriott Courtyard Hotel (B)

To Kutaisi
Drive west from Tbilisi to Kutaisi visiting Gori, the birthplace of Josef Stalin, en route. View the house where he was born and the museum dedicated to his life. Continue to Kutaisi and stay overnight at the Bagrat Hotel. (B, L, D)
