Upon arrival in Reykjavik, you will be welcomed by your Cox & Kings representative and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon, take an unforgettable trip into the world of whales and sea birds. The types of whales commonly sighted include minke whales, white-beaked dolphins, harbor porpoises, and the iconic humpback whales. To Golden Circle / Hvalfjörður Fjord
In Þingvellir National Park, stand at the edge of the Great Atlantic Rift, which will eventually split Iceland into two. Travel on to Gullfoss, the Golden Waterfall, then walk around an active geothermal field, home to hot springs, bubbling mud pools and a multitude of geysers. Drive to gorgeous Hvalfjörður Fjord. Snaefellsnes Peninsula
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, explore the rugged peaks, lava fields and waterfalls of magnificent Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Hop on a snowmobile to ascend to the top of the glacier, nearly 4,600 feet above sea level, for panoramic views of the coast and the faraway western fjords. Return to your hotel for dinner and another opportunity to marvel at the Northern Lights. (B, L, D)

Depart Iceland
After a morning at leisure, drive to the Blue Lagoon, a natural pool of mineral-rich geothermal water, located in the middle of a lava field. Relax in the Exclusive Bath and Lounge, get a massage or a mud bath, and feel the cares of the world slip away. Late this afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
