Itinerary
Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. Later, if you like, take an amble in the forest and visit the Gokarna Forest Temple. This evening, enjoy dinner and a briefing at your hotel. Gokarna Forest Resort – 2 nights (D)
This morning, meet your Everest Summiteer and transfer to the airport for your 45-minute helicopter trip to Lukla where you refuel before embarking on a one-hour sightseeing flight around the spectacular Khumbu Valley. Soar over Everest base camp, Cho Lo Pass and sacred Gokyo Lake before landing at Kongde at 14,000 feet. There, enjoy breakfast with panoramic views and get some insight about the area from your mountain guide. On your return flight to Kathmandu, savor expansive views over the surrounding peaks. This afternoon, visit the temple complex of Boudhnath, home to some 10,000 Tibetan refugees. Browse the shops before choosing a local restaurant (with the advice of your guide) for dinner. (B, L, D)
Drive to the medieval town of Bhaktapur to learn about Buddhist and Hindu architecture. After lunch, take a flight over the beautiful Western Ranges on your way to Pokhara. Upon arrival, admire magnificent views of the Annapurna Range on a scenic boat trip. Shangrila Village Resort (Mountain-facing Room) – 1 night (B, L, D)
This morning, board your helicopter for a spectacular flight to the Annapurna base camp. Return to Pokhara airport to catch your fixed- wing flight to Kathmandu. After lunch, your guide will escort you to Durbar Square, home of the Royal Palace as well as the Kumari Devi, a young girl worshipped as a living goddess. Celebrate your journey with drinks at a famed mountaineer bar and a festive dinner at a restored palace. Gokarna Forest Resort – 1 night (B, L, D)
