Manager, Marketing Operations & E-commerce

Position Summary

The Manager, Marketing Operations & E-commerce is responsible for management of the marketing tech stack, including key systems, business processes, and data that enable the Cox & Kings sales and marketing organization to meet or exceed its goals. He/she will be the technical marketing lead, overseeing the company’s CRM/CMS/ESP/lead gen/analytics and other digital platforms.

Working closely with the VP Marketing, Director of IT, and others, this role will manage the rollout of new systems, as well as the maintenance of existing digital products, while ensuring all platforms are accurately integrated with each other to drive business results. He/she will also oversee the company’s CRM and database marketing efforts, include lead gen, nurturing, and re-marketing programs, as well as support the VP Marketing on other direct marketing campaigns.

The ideal person for this role is a skilled technical marketer and project manager who not only understands complex issues, but is able to communicate them clearly to junior and senior colleagues across international offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage the strategic plan for marketing systems management, including email/CRM, CMS/website, and analytics
  • Set and manage Cox & Kings’ CRM strategy to maximize revenue, using creative and data driven tactics to reach past and potential clients
  • Manage all marketing systems integrations projects, including documentation and communication of business requirements e.g. website/CRM, CRM/ESP, and other existing or future projects
  • Oversee company’s relationship and API connection with Passport Online and other external distribution partners
  • Work with the VP Marketing on website optimization initiatives to improve UX and conversion
  • Ensure website tagging/tracking is accurate and follows best practices, utilizing Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Work closely with Partnerships Director on email marketing & customer segmentation strategy
  • Provide support as needed to VP Marketing on multi-channel direct marketing campaigns

Skills and requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of technical or digital marketing experience working with marketing and sales-related systems in a B2C or B2B organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Computer Science or related field is required
  • Minimum of 3 years working with marketing automation and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
  • Knowledge of how to identify, evaluate, recommend, and implement technology, ideally of a marketing or database/analytical nature (social monitoring, web site analytics/data analytics, CRM systems)
  • Demonstrated success in leading new, complex, and high impact martech projects
  • Experience managing cross-channel, B2C digital marketing campaigns and knowledge of UX/e-commerce is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across an organization, and across borders, to reach shared goals
  • Proactive and positive problem solver with the ability to make recommendations in a structured, professional manner to business stakeholders from varied functions and at all levels of the organization
  • Project management skills coupled with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with minimal oversight

Director of Product Development


Position Title: Director of Product Development
Department: Product Development

Position Summary

Cox & Kings, The Americas, is seeking a Director of Product Development to oversee and expand the company's growing product line. This position is ideal for an experienced product development manager with a strong drive to create best-in-class products, an entrepreneurial spirit, effective negotiation, relationship and project management skills, and a zeal for addressing marketplace needs, trends, and changes through unique product offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new compelling, unique products on a quarterly and ad hoc basis, and partner with destination specialists, marketing, and business development teams to create differentiated products for various audiences and distribution channels
  • Vet and contract destination management companies and other on-the-ground suppliers
  • Work in conjunction with destination specialists to maintain and strengthen relationships with on-the-ground suppliers and ensure that they are delivering services according to the high standards set forth in service-level agreements
  • Conduct research and analysis on a consistent basis to ensure that company products are appealing and priced competitively
  • Identify market trends and opportunities; propose and create FIT and group products that address trends and capture these business opportunities
  • Own product roadmap and calendars
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of products and services available in the marketplace at destinations worldwide and of products and services available through Cox & Kings, The Americas
  • In conjunction with business team, serve as a key point of contact for all new product and supply opportunities
  • Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to offer compelling incentives to travel advisors and clients
  • Ensure product content on website and other channels is up-to-date and accurate
  • Develop and deploy training of destination specialists, outside sales, travel advisors, and marketing and PR teams on new product offerings (including the organization of FAM trips)
  • Coordinate with other Cox & Kings divisions (Bentours, Tempo Holidays, SuperBreak, Cox & Kings U.K., Meininger and others) to leverage existing product and supply contracts


Skills and Abilities

  • Must possess demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Experience with online product distribution and/or dynamic packaging is a plus
  • Must possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking and decision-making capabilities
  • Must have strong mathematic aptitude
  • Must have proven success contracting and negotiating
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Must have excellent organizational skills with demonstrated initiative and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Director, Client Services & Operations


Position Summary

Cox & Kings is seeking a dynamic Director of Client Services and Operations to lead our team of destination specialists and guest services professionals who handle luxury and experiential travel sales fulfillment. The ideal candidate has a strong operational background, is metrics driven, and possesses a track record of success in exceeding revenue, operations and customer service targets.

With Cox & Kings entering a rapid growth phase in the Americas, the ability to transform teams and implement processes to support the growth plans of a company are critical to his or her success.
This position is based in our Los Angeles office. Prior management experience in travel industry operations and sales fulfillment is required. Previous work experience at a luxury travel company is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and actively manage our team of destination specialists and guest service professionals to meet and exceed sales, operations and customer service targets
  • Establish, implement and maintain revenue management, inside sales and operations best practices and processes to sure leads are converted into sales efficiently
  • Leverage technology and enhance the team's skills in using technology to increase productivity and client, agent, vendor and team satisfaction
  • Ensure follow-up activity to win sales, deepen agent and client relationships, and develop a consistent source of new business leads
  • Lead the recruitment of client and sales-focused team members to support the company's growth; integrate new colleagues into the team to create a world-class sales fulfillment and operations team
  • Create individualized and team development plans. Enhance team members' skills, knowledge and performance through training, coaching and providing continuous feedback

Senior Destination Specialist


Department: Destination Team (Inside Sales)
Reports to: Director, Destinations
Location: Los Angeles or New York (preferred but not required)

Position Summary

Cox & Kings is seeking experienced destination specialists (tour consultants) to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have over ten years of experience as a destination specialist, a proven record of designing and selling custom-tailored luxury and experiential trips, and a passion for providing excellent and rapid customer service to travel agents and clients.

Candidates with extensive knowledge of destinations, travel products and services in Asia, Europe, Latin America and Africa are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities of the destination specialist include:

  • Qualifying leads and developing a deep understanding of travelers' needs, preferences and travel budgets
  • Designing detailed itineraries that inspire, reflect the travelers' preferences and budget, and are smart logistically
  • Converting proposed itineraries into bookings; meet and exceed targets related to sales, agent and client satisfaction, team work, and destination knowledge
  • Providing superior and rapid customer service that exceed agent and client expectations before, during and following a trip
  • Maintaining and deepening relationships with agents, clients, team members and local (in country, on-the-ground) partners; liaising with them to ensure that pre-trip and on-trip services are rendered smoothly and to address any needs or issues that arise. Conduct post-trip follow-up and understand clients' future travel needs
  • Ensuring company's CRM databases are kept up to date
  • Maintaining and developing further expertise on products and services offered in destinations; represent Cox & Kings and share expertise with colleagues and at consumer and trade events


Skills and requirements:

  • Minimum 7+ years of designing and selling custom-tailored luxury and experiential travel to Asia, Europe, Latin America and/or Africa
  • Proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Demonstrable (and first-hand) knowledge of products and services offered in the destinations listed above
  • Possess excellent customer service, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to meet aggressive deadlines and to work with VIP clients and agents
  • Passion and ability to travel: participate/host familiarization trips and represent Cox & Kings at consumer and trade events on an ad hoc basis
  • Possess creativity and a get-stuff-done attitude; be a self-starter and a team player
  • Desire to be recognized as an industry leader, to be the "go to" person for the destinations your represent
  • Comfort and experience with CRM systems is a plus
  • Fluency in a foreign language such as Spanish, Japanese, Hindi or Chinese is not required but a plus
