    Arrive La Paz

    Upon arrival in La Paz, you will be welcomed by your Cox & Kings local representative and escorted to your hotel.this evening to enjoy typical Bolivian cuisine at a local restaurant.

  • Day 2
    Lake Titicaca

    Enjoy a full day of exploration on Lake Titicaca, including a visit to Sun Island, the birthplace of the Inca Empire. On this legendary island, you will visit the gorgeous garden stairs and fountain of the Inca. Continue to the Inti Wata Cultural Complex, which features the underground museum of Ekako, a display about traditional shipbuilding with reeds, a handicraft center, and an exhibit about the intricate agricultural terraces of the Incas.

    To Concepcion

    After breakfast, head to the airport for your short flight to Santa Cruz. Upon arrival, you will be met by a local Cox & Kings representative and escorted to the colonial town of Concepcion. En-route, you will stop to visit the Jesuit Mission of San Javier.

    To Santa Cruz

    After breakfast, continue your visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Chiquitania Missions, which are the only Jesuit missions in Latin America in their original condition. On your guided discover the history and culture behind the famous churches, which include San Rafael, San Miguel, and Santa Ana - before returning to Santa Cruz

    To Sucre

    This morning, you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to Sucre. Upon arrival, tour the city, including the indigenous art museum, which features some stunning examples of textiles from the Tarabuco and Jalq'a cultures. Conclude your tour with a visit to the Casa de la Libertad and the main plaza of Sucre.

    Enjoy a unique experience during your exploration of the indigenous town of Tarabuco, which is one of the few places in Bolivia where traditional culture is still strong. Tour a local textile workshop to see the work of the Tarabuquenos first hand. After sampling local delicacies, visit a market where inhabitants of nearby communities converge each week, dressed in their traditional clothes to purchase provisions and sell their beautiful handmade fabrics.

    To Potosi

    After a morning at leisure, continue to Potosi where you have the rest of the day to acclimate to the altitude or begin your explorations of the town.

    After breakfast, discover Potosi and the surrounding area. Known for centuries as the richest and highest city in the world, Potosi is situated on the Bolivian altiplano at 13,343 feet above sea level. Though some of the silver mines for which it became famous have closed, Potosi still sits atop the Cerro Rico, one of the greatest mineral deposits in the entire world. After exploring the grand National Mint, visit a working mine where you will learn about the process of extracting silver from the earth.

    To La Paz

    Bid farewell to Bolivia this morning as you are escorted back to Sucre for your short flight to La Paz. Upon arrival, connect with your onward flight.
