    Arrive Leon / San Miguel de Allende

    Upon arrival in Leon, you will be met by your Cox & Kings representative and escorted to San Miguel de Allende. Enjoy a walking visit to the iconic central plaza before going inside San Miguel's famous Parroquia de San Miguel Arcangel.

    San Miguel de Allende

    After breakfast, visit Fabrica La Aurora, a beautiful art and design center housed in a former textile factory that dates to the turn of the 20th century. This evening, visit Dos Buhos, a working organic farm and boutique winery, and enjoy a private tour and tasting followed by a light gourmet dinner.

    To Morelia/Patzcuaro

    After breakfast, bid farewell to San Miguel de Allende and depart for Patzcuaro. En route, stop in the impressive colonial city of Morelia to explore its UNESCO World Heritage historic center.

    Patzcuaro

    Explore the marketplaces and homes of Patzcuaro, a cultural center of Michoacan. Pay a visit to the home and workshop of Mario Agutine Gaspar and his children where you can observe the artists at work on their newest creations. Continue to the copper workshops of Santa Clara del Cobre and the shores of beautiful Lake Zirahuen.

    Patzcuaro

    Meet your guide for a short journey to the picturesque island of Janitzio, which is home to an indigenous fishing community. Then, explore Tzintzuntzan, the historical capital of the Purehpechan Empire. Savor lunch with a local family and visit a ceramics workshop.

    To Tequila

    Embark on a scenic drive to the town of Tequila. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and freshen up before beginning your education in Mexico's national drink. Meet with a master tequilero to understand the process of distilling tequila, try your hand at blending and take home a small bottle of your own personal creation.

    Continue your exploration into the magic of tequila with a visit to local agave fields. Then, enjoy a tour of Tequila Fortaleza. Sample the flavors of Jalisco during lunch at the municipal market of Tequila, followed by a tour and tasting of a boutique distillery run by the legendary Enrique Fonseca, who is widely regarded as the best barrel blender in the industry.

    Rise early this morning for an unforgettable sunrise hot-air balloon ride over the beautiful agave fields. After breakfast, meet your private guide to discover the Guachimontones Pyramids, pre-Hispanic circular stepped pyramids, which were built beginning in 350 BC.
