Explore the wild landscapes of southern Tanzania on this adventurous journey that takes in some of the country's more remote and fascinating national parks and game reserves. Search for endangered wild dog and great herds of elephant in the Selous Game Reserve, the continent's largest reserve. Continue to Ruaha National Park - home to elephant that dig wells in the park's dry riverbeds as well as populations of giraffe, buffalo and lion.

  • Day 2
    To Selous Game Reserve

    Fly to Selous Game Reserve. The populations of wild dog, hippo and lion are unsurpassed, and more than half of Tanzania's elephant are found here.

    Siwandu Camp - 3 Nights (B, L, D)

    Selous Game Reserve

    Explore the reserve by vehicle and on foot. Sheltered in a grove of palms on the shores of Lake Nzerakera, your camp is perfectly located to take in the wildlife.

    To Ruaha National Park

    Depart by light aircraft and head west to Ruaha. Situated under magnificent shade trees, your remote camp will give you a true taste of the bush.

    Ruaha National Park

    Seek out great herds of buffalo and packs of wild dog, as well as giraffe, hippo, crocodile, and lion.
