    Arrive Cape Town, South Africa

    Upon arrival in Cape Town, you will be welcomed by your Cox & Kings local representative and accompanied to your hotel. One&Only Cape Town sits on the popular Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the Two Oceans Aquarium.

  • Day 2
    Cape Town

    Board a cable car for the five-minute ride to the top of Table Mountain. Return to the city via the old Cape Malay Quarter for a walk through the botanical gardens. Stroll through the city to Greenmarket Square to browse its bustling market stalls. Drive to the Castle, and then take in the Grand Parade where Nelson Mandela addressed the nation upon his release in 1990. Move on to the District Six Museum. Relish lunch at one of the city's popular restaurants. This afternoon, experience a moving visit to Khayelitsha, one of South Africa's largest townships, where you learn about various community projects. Return to your hotel via numerous other township districts and with a new perspective on South African township culture.

    Cape Town

    Follow the Southern Peninsula to beautiful Boulders Beach for a close-up with a colony of African Penguins - the only indigenous Penguins on the continent. After a scenic coastal drive, continue into the Cape of Good Hope section of the Table Mountain National Park. Climb onto your bikes (weather permitting) and explore the rich fauna and flora of one of the most diverse floral kingdoms on earth, surrounded by breath-taking landscapes and fresh sea air. Enjoy lunch overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Climb (or ride the unique, 'Flying Dutchman' funicular) to the famous Cape Point Lighthouse to capture the staggering vistas of False Bay and stop at the south-westernmost point of Africa. On your way back to Cape Town, drive along the Atlantic seaboard, including the 114 curves of Chapman's Peak Drive, one of the world's most spectacular passes.

    Cape Town

    Travel to the winelands in the nearby Boland Mountains for a leisurely exploration of historic towns, liquid delights, gastronomic wonders and home-grown hospitality. The Cape Winelands are some of the most beautiful in the world, with a heritage that lives on in beautiful, historic estates producing some of the world's most celebrated wines. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch at one of South Africa's top restaurants.

    To Madikwe Game Reserve

    Fly to Johannesburg to connect by light aircraft to Madikwe Game Reserve.     Madikwe Game Reserve

    On game drives and walks, search for lion, buffalo, leopard, elephant, hippo, giraffe, black and white rhino, wild dog, hyena and cheetah. Travelling through Makanyane's completely private 1,800 hectares and the 75,000 hectares of the magnificent Madikwe Game Reserve, your guide will share their wealth of knowledge with you. There are two daily game drives at Makanyane. The afternoon drive, after a brief stop to enjoy sundowners, continues into the night, a shielded spotlight revealing the nocturnal wildlife of the bush. For an even more in-depth exploration of the bush, a game walk is essential. Away from the noise and disturbance of the game drive vehicle, guests are able to experience the more subtle nuances of the bush - the sounds, smells and textures of the surroundings can be appreciated. During your stay, consider participating in a project assisting local impoverished communities near the Madikwe Reserve or join the conservation staff on a project to protect the reserve's wildlife.

    To Okavango Delta, Botswana

    Travel overland and cross the border to Botswana's capital of Gaborone for your flight to Maun, where you connect by light aircraft to the famous Okavango Delta. Sanctuary Chief's Camp sits in the former reserve of Chief Moremi. This recently redesigned, award-winning camp offers some of the largest luxury suites in the region featuring a private dining area, a tranquil outside seating area and a terrace pool - all perfect for absorbing the surrounding plains and majestic African skies.

  • Day 9 - 10
    Okavango Delta

    Explore the Delta in modified open 4 x 4 vehicles on morning and afternoon game drives. As the predator capital of the world, the game viewing is awe-inspiring. But apart from its predators, the Moremi is also renowned for its large concentrations of plains game. On the plains one may find the roaming lions that prey on the thousands of antelope, zebra and buffalo who live here all year round. Mokoros, local dugout canoes, offer a different perspective of the bush in the company of a highly trained local guide. Poling through the byways created by the floodwaters is a magical experience that allows guests to get very close to the biggest of game and to see the world from a totally different angle.

    Depart Johannesburg, South Africa

    After a final morning activity, return to Maun by light aircraft and connect to Johannesburg in time for an evening onward flight.
