Spend your nights in two of the region’s spiritual meccas as you indulge in a variety of healing treatments at renowned spas, discover the natural wonders of the Grand Canyon and the Petrified Forest, immerse yourself in Native American art and culture, hike among the Red Rocks of Sedona, unravel the mysteries of the Vortex, and savor some traditional culinary delights prepared by an acclaimed Native American chef.

  • Day 1
    Arrive Albuquerque

Welcome to the Southwest! After you arrive in Albuquerque and collect your rental car, make your way to Santa Fe and spend the evening at the Inn at the Five Graces. This charming property is actually a former cluster of traditional adobe homes transformed into a hotel by former antiquities collectors who named it Five Graces after the five senses of sound, sight, taste, smell, and touch. Experience an amazing massage in your room to get you into the spirit after your journey. For your evening dining experience, join a Native American chef and scholar in food studies in the garden to learn about Southwest culinary history and ancient traditions with ancestral foods from the region — followed by a hands-on cooking experience and 4 course dinner with wine pairings.

  • Day 2
    Santa Fe

After breakfast, join a local expert in Indian art at The Museum of Indian Arts and Culture for an introduction to the culture of the Southwest. Later this morning, meet some of the top gallerists and artists on Canyon Road and view the finest Native American Art, both antique and contemporary, while engaging in a discussion about the progress and place of Native American arts within the context of American art. Enjoy a nice leisurely lunch in historic downtown Santa Fe. This afternoon, drive to the Japanese-style onsen and sento spa, 10,000 Waves, for a three-hour spa package including private hot tub, massage and additional treatments. Feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, make your way back to the Inn at Five Graces. Tonight you will have a five-course chef’s tasting dinner and wine pairing at the critically acclaimed restaurant, Geronimo.

  • Day 3
    Santa Fe

After breakfast, drive to the spectacular Puye Cliffs and enjoy a private one-hour tour of these centuries’-old cliff dwellings of the Pueblo Indians. Continue onward to the natural hot springs of Ojo Caliente where you will have a few hours of relaxation, including a dip in your own heated Kiva pool, a special massage and time to experience the ancient healing powers of the springs. Each pool holds different healing properties and one is even rumored to be the Fountain of Youth. Later, head to UNESCO World Heritage Site of Taos and embark on a privately guided tour with a Native American healer to meet local residents and artists of Taos Pueblo. Following your tour, explore the central square of Taos before lingering over dinner at the famed Doc Martin restaurant at the Taos Inn. Greta Garbo, Robert Redford and Jessica Lange have all sipped cocktails here. Return to the Inn at Five Graces for your final evening in Santa Fe.

    To the Petrified Forest

After breakfast, drive to the Petrified Forest for a day of exploration. Whether you want to see the late Triassic Fossils or simply take in the vistas on a hike, this is one of the most arresting areas of wilderness in the United States. You can follow the park road from the Rainbow Forest Museum toward Pintado Point for a self-guided half-day excursion, or, if you choose to stay longer, don’t miss a walk to Agate House. There is a more intensive hike into the Blue Mesa badlands, which takes you farther into the Petrified Forest National Wilderness Area. Following your hike, drive to the historic La Posada Estate and Gardens for the evening.

One cannot make the journey from Santa Fe to Sedona without a detour to see the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. In the early morning, take the two-hour drive to marvel at one of the world’s most stunning natural wonders. We recommend lunch at the El Tovar hotel’s famous restaurant, which offers rich history, tasty food and amazing views! After lunch, continue to Sedona, arriving in the late afternoon just in time for a majestic sunset at your hotel, the Enchantment Resort. Located in the Boynton Canyon, Enchantment is a mecca for healing, with extensive treatments including crystals, color, and sound treatments to ease pains or simply to facilitate deep relaxation. It also happens to be one of the most luxurious and highly rated spa resorts in the United States!
